Senior researchers of our team Kamila Gruskevica and Kristina Tihomirova participated in Waterchain project meeting for WP3 on 25th of January in Tallin, Estonia. It was a great opportunity to discuss hazardous substances monitoring systems and programs in different states of Baltic sea region. Kamila had a presentation about current research status in Latvian hotspots.

Discussion before final design of Pomacea prototype «will go home» to Water research laboratory premises. The prototype is used and will be used to test biofouling of membranes. Water research laboratory team is looking for the pretreatment methods which decreases biofouling. Video
In the beginning of December, the RTU and KTH was signed the contract about common doctoral studies. In January of 2017 the Water Research Laboratory scientific assistant Brigita Dalecka will go to Sweden to start their studies.
