Water research and Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory together with 3 other structural units of RTU have started a new project “Integration of reliable technologies for protection against Covid-19 in healthcare and high-risk areas” funded by State Research programme for Mitigation of Consequences of Covid-19.
The Project is led by Professor Talis Juhna.
The overall aim of the project is to increase the resilience and quality of the services in healthcare areas during COVID-19 and other infectious diseases by improving and developing reliable technologies and concepts.
To achieve the aim, eight other scientific institutions will be involved: Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, Riga Stradins university, Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre, Institute of Solid State Physic (University of Latvia), Rezekne Academy of Technologies, Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, Institute of Electronics and Computer Sciences, Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy (University of Latvia).
First project Partner meeting to discuss and agree on the activities was organized in the beginning of July by RTU.
